The final day of The Spoony One’s Chicago odyssey brings him to the fabled Urkel House. Later, he battles a Silver Slime that has invaded downtown and goes on the run from the Department of Homeland Security’s Parking Enforcement Division!

A couple of explanations before I get to the videos:

The videos that follow are basically uncut, raw footage straight from the tape, so if you’re looking for a highlight or blooper reel you might be disappointed. I’m working on the second part of the Linkara vs. Dr. Insano crossover at the moment and I’d rather work on that than comb through 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. As a result, this isn’t quite as structured as the previous two days of vlogs.

If you hear sudden pops or changes in audio quality, it’s because I’m turning on the shotgun microphone to pick up distant conversations.

Finally, I was unable to get much footage of the battle after we took our lunch break. I was in most of the scenes at that point, and couldn’t therefore record.

I sat down with Ed Glaser of Dark Maze Studios and talked with him about his DVD release of Rampage (also known as Turkish Rambo) as well as his feature-length film Press Start.

Edit: Upon further review of other behind-the-scenes footage, I retract my earlier statements that I had “better” takes of the Shoryuken scene. And the pillowfight was funny, but not really usable because of the laughter going on. Doug and Bargo are fine, honorable men and talented editors who should never be questioned.

The Spoony One arrives in Chicago with Benzaie and explores the legendary Holidome.

Later, Benzaie learns about sales tax and comes dangerously close to inciting his own French revolution.

Or in my case, not-so-spectacular. Near-the-airport strip-club quality for me, really.

Now the truth can be known of the physical altercation that sidelined me for two weeks. It was a mighty battle that lasted for many days, and when the smoke cleared only a few retained their dignity.
