I completely get what you mean about trying to not be too self-indulgent (and yeah, I think the Nerd did suffer a bit from that) but I still love Insano. The facial expressions are priceless and I love all Insano’s lines. I wouldn’t worry too much about the Bum tribute either, since it’s not like he’s in this one too much (or in any of your videos too much, for that matter) anyway.
My take on what you said about the split-screen is similar to what David Cross said on the Mr. Show commentary.
We all know the other two guys are you in a costume, so having the effects perfect isn’t that big of a deal. I appreciate that you put forth the effort to make it look fantastic, but ultimately, seeing a seam doesn’t matter that much, we’re not gonna be like “Hey man, who were those other two guys in this video with you? They looked a lot like y…oh, a seam, it’s just split-screen.”
For the record I’ve never felt that the stuff like the “clone” thing here, or any of the other extra scenes in your videos detract from the humor in any form.
I never noticed the lighting actually. The worst and most noticeable time lapse between scenes I saw was in a project my cousin worked on where food dissapeared from the table the charaters were sitting at as extras grazed between scenes. Hillarious it was.
Alot of your simple reviews The lets plays and your Terror trax reviews do work ver well. But for this movie the clones did add alot to the review, and so did Linkara he brought you back to life afterall.
I like these commentaries as well. Don’t get too complicated but don’t be afraid to try new things either
for some reason i always saw you more as a riffer and light sketch writer/actor more than a critic, so i really thought those videos were awesome and among your best.
i mean i enjoyed your “hey i just came back from a movie” videos, or the more riff-ish videos like yor, but i can’t see why some people may think those are the only ways it can be done.
the only possible objection i can think of is if the sketches had got too irrelevant to the movie. but i thought they were quite on the money in these two videos.
that and i saw something about this exploitation film with dead bruce lee beating up an evil gang in hell led by the godfather (old corleone) with james bond, clint eastwood, dracula, and zatoichi in it (they’re not even trying to impersonate any of those at that point…). it’s so funny that it’s so bad that it’s not even funny.
As for your question about how he might think weed killer can help him rule the world perhaps he’s planning to threaten to spray it over the Great Plains and kill all the grain, etc.
Spoony, this is more than dedication and persistence . This is another form of masochism, consider what this might do to your long term mental health.
You are very entertaining however you might snap and lose the ability to distinguish between game world and reality and I would also lose out on some rare and satisfying free entertainment.
You deserve some good Whiskey and a good night out after that ordeal.
Find a club that plays hard house music and have a relaxed atmosphere, much more healthy than virtual homicide.
Ugh, you know, I was willing to pin the throat-chopping thing to just thinking it’s funny to see a villain getting their ass awesomely kicked, which I agree with, but then you have to specifically point out that it’s hilarious to see women being brutalized. :/ That, along with all the rambling about titties and the racial comments– it was just way too distracting and uncomfortable for me, and I couldn’t even really enjoy the rest of your commentary after that. Sorry, man.

But a commentary to the review of a movie you watched? How boring. Whoever watches these really must have nothing better to do.

Some of the more fun videos by internet personalities is when they try new things, like making their own characters to help with their videos.
Dr.Insano and Spencer characters aren’t used all that much, don’t feel so guilty about using them.
