Yep I remember the article on i-mockery.com but the artsyle was so bombastic and disgusting that I was to scared to read it. I never even knew it was based on a comic till I saw this review and told to myself were the f**** did I saw this. Great site and great to hear from you Linkara.

Thank you much for the insights and comments Linkara. It would be fun to have a duel commentary from you and Spoony together someday.

Mixed messages, Mr. Warrior. Wearing colorful underpants and tassels, tying Santa up in bondage in your own comic book, then going to a college and saying stuff like “Queering don’t make the world work.” Then going to Italy and wrestling at his age in full Warryah gear. I kind of want him to get his own radio show where he says stupid stuff all day, just for tje chance that when someone calls and bitches him out he goes batshit and cuts an insane promo on live radio.

Why couldn’t the commentaries be in a text form when the video first came out? Or have come when the video first came out? Don’t get me wrong, I understand that you think of yourselves as a bit of movie/series makers, and wanna do what the real ones do. I personally think its OK (well, it does make you look a bit too much in a fantasy world). But at the same time it’s annoying when it comes later on. Why not have the commentary in text (I know you love it) at first, to give the heads up or just have it all there. Or maybe this just had a delay, so then forget half the stuff you just read.

This comment is more like a tip or request. You can do want you wanna do. But why have a comment section, if not to hear this kind of stuff.

It’s fun to hear what Linkara thoughts were about this episode. I wonder how long it takes to write all this? Was this in the spot or was it planed some time ago?

This comic is a damn nightmare, I don’t think i could have imagined anything worst than Superman At Earth’s End or Amazon’s Attack. But holy hell, what a monstrosity. I don’t think giant robots could make this comic good.

6
mflorian June 4, 2009 at 1:45 am

My GOD, that comic is horrible. The blooper reel for this video must be amazing.

7
HenrySpock June 4, 2009 at 2:21 am

So – the ‘I need scissors 61.’ Is that an actual referrence, or just meant to be batshit insane randomness? I want to laugh at it, but I can’t laugh mightily until I understand Hoak Hogan.

8
Ubermetalhed June 4, 2009 at 2:33 am

I’m pretty sure the ’scissors 61′ nonsense comes from a codec sequence in metal gear solid 2.

9
Linkara June 4, 2009 at 2:37 am

“I’m pretty sure the ’scissors 61′ nonsense comes from a codec sequence in metal gear solid 2.”
Which I wasn’t aware of when I did the commentary, but that just makes it all the more amusing. ^^

And thanks to Spoony for putting this up even though he didn’t have to. ^_^

@ # 9

I find it cool that all the people from TGWTG.com check out each others sites. Great commentary btw.

aaa June 4, 2009 at 3:22 am

I have seen worse stuff. Two words: Jack chick. You know it must be done, kid.

12
ThomasMink June 4, 2009 at 3:48 am

#7, 8 and 9: Actually.. that entire ’scissors’ speech is taken directly from Metal Gear Solid 2.
See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwy-ECE9zXU

I also didn’t know this, but it makes it even funnier.

Xtrife June 4, 2009 at 3:52 am

Awesome…

And yes I agree Warrior’s rambling nonsense does remind me of Squirrelking’s hilariously bad fanfiction.

Still hate Joe Q for OMD/BND?
Relax, most of us do.

Good commentary, and i’m glad you lot had a lot of fun doing this.
Wonder what your secret project with Dough is…

Question, your going to do Linking up with Linkara alongside Scarlett and Krissy?

15
Sjuge June 4, 2009 at 6:40 am

I’ll say it again: Lewis does an excellent Insano.

16
Ink June 4, 2009 at 6:44 am

=D

Good commentary.
The Warrior review was hilarious. And I can’t believe the guy actually tried making a Warrior University….

17
Morti June 4, 2009 at 7:12 am

I’ve always wondered, when Doctor Insano made Spoony choose between the comic and being killed, he chose the comic, but seeing how bad it was he begged for the gun…and then he admited to review the comic, because Doctor Insano threatened to kill him…I mean…Wasn’t that what Spoony wanted when he begged for the gun? To kill himself?

18
dbzfandiego June 4, 2009 at 7:22 am

i think its broke

19
Linkara June 4, 2009 at 8:23 am

“I mean…Wasn’t that what Spoony wanted when he begged for the gun? To kill himself?”

This is indeed a disturbing universe.

20
Anthony Skatz June 4, 2009 at 8:58 am

Who came up with the “Dingo Warrior” reference? I’m guessing Spoony, but I’m trying to see if he threw in a “Blade Runners” reference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_Runners

21
Tygerfire June 4, 2009 at 8:58 am

I don’t expect Linkara to be a devote wrestling fan and it may have been a minor misinformed slip, but hearing him say Stone Cold Steve Austin was in WCW and that WCW was more extreme made me cringe XD

22
The Random Ninja 5 June 4, 2009 at 9:01 am

I have thoroughly enjoyed this and all the other crossover projects. I hope to see more in the future. Being an illustrator myself, I cringed at the sight of the horribly drawn musculature of WARRIOR. The incoherent babble strewn about the entire work is a testament to the shear stupidity of WARRIOR. I loved the reality shifting during the review. It gave it a different look and feel that set it apart from other reviews. That type of playful spirit can open so many doors for possible future reality shifting. I would have liked seeing Linkara and Insano as sandwiches (but that may just be me) Keep up the AWESOME work guys!

The Random Ninja 5 June 4, 2009 at 9:10 am

(continued)
I enjoyed the commentary as well. Though I was surprised that it was only Linkara on the commentary track. I like hearing about things that go on behind the scenes of movies and shows. Now I can hear about webcasts. It is really good that you all have become such good friends and appear in each others videos. Hope to see more. I still can’t believe they actually made WARRIOR into a comic book. What’s next: WARRIOR the movie.*winces* (in narrator voice)”Can the WARRIOR discover his destiny? Can he find he long lost love? will the audience understand a word of his inane incoherent jabber-speak? Find out in summer 2010. WARRIOR the movie, Starring WARRIOR as WARRIOR! Believe This!”

24
Yoarastrophe June 4, 2009 at 9:48 am

I love these commentaries…

That part where Linkara speaks about a work being so confusing that you have to ask someone else what’s happening is actually why I have no affection whatsoever for Advent Children. Sure, it was pretty, but it made no sense whatsoever to someone who isn’t really a hardcore fan. … Don’t kill me.

25
Linkara June 4, 2009 at 10:19 am

“I don’t expect Linkara to be a devote wrestling fan and it may have been a minor misinformed slip, but hearing him say Stone Cold Steve Austin was in WCW and that WCW was more extreme made me cringe XD”

Yeah, misinformed slip. My only information about this stuff came from watching “The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior” on youtube. XD

26
Sai June 4, 2009 at 10:55 am

Oh god Linkara. Say it ain’t so. There are MORE Warrior comics!? *sob*

Still, great commentary vid, I always love listening to commentary tracks and hearing how things were done and planned. I also think the “bad acting” universe was the best one, I was laughing to tears when I first saw it.

27
Rylock June 4, 2009 at 11:27 am

I JUST noticed Beary in Benzai’s shirt, wow how did I miss that.

Always good to see a bit of the “behind the scenes” thought process for these videos, and its incredibly eclectic as expected. I really liked the sudden shifts between dimensions and I’m glad you guys didn’t try to ease us into it, kept the video moving and made for some great humor.

28
Ninjastar June 4, 2009 at 11:41 am

i really liked this cross over and it was great to hear some more info on its creation from linkara. shame sponny an dlink could not have done the commentary togetehr bet it would have been hillarious.

29
Kevin June 4, 2009 at 11:43 am

Stone Cold was in WCW, but obviously didnt become big intill heading to ECW, then Vince McMahon stole him from ECW and thats when Stone Cold was later born

30
1337pete June 4, 2009 at 2:48 pm

I think the audio track on the vid is too loud. I find it hard to focus, or “foke,” on the commentary audio.

31
Jeremy C June 4, 2009 at 4:29 pm

Very cool of you to do, Linkara. This was one of the best vids the TGWTG community had put out. The Ultimate Warrior was pretty much coked up out of his mind without needing to be on coke.

32
Stevo June 4, 2009 at 6:11 pm

Yeah, the “I need scissors! 61!” part is from Metal Gear Solid 2. When Emma Emmerich’s virus begins to affect the GW AI, the codec messages from the “Colonel” become more and more hilariously random. Preceding this brilliant gem, “Campbell” proceeds to tell Raiden that he was abducted by aliens, and he strongly suspects that Raiden’s girlfriend is cheating on him (among others).

33
jawmuncher June 4, 2009 at 6:45 pm

Spoony and Linkara are a great combination

34
Dark Pascual June 4, 2009 at 11:08 pm

The worst thing about this comic is that this really makes us wrestling fans look really bad…

35
Anomouse June 5, 2009 at 12:38 am

That documentary (?) that Linkara mentioned , Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior, can be found in youtube, here’s link to the part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7_RgCG9AE4

36
HenrySpock June 5, 2009 at 4:22 am

I am so glad that actually exists in MSG. Awesomeness. I can laugh mightily now. In fact… I think I’ll rewatch that clip. :D

37
Wurth June 5, 2009 at 6:25 am

Great commentary. Only critique is that the original soundtrack is a little too loud, it’s almost like listening to 2 people talk at once. Otherwise, I hope to see more commentary tracks on the stuff you guys do. You are both really good at commentaries.

38
FaustSnake June 5, 2009 at 7:12 am

It seems like the drawer and colourists of this…”comic” tried really hard to make it look like a proper Marvel comic.
Seriously, what in the Hell where they thinking/smoking when they thought this would be a good idea?
The comic is more like “The Self Destruction of Sane Minds”

Also, if he “SKRONK”‘ed under water wouldn’t he be drawing in all the water around him through his mouth and nose and thereby drown?
IT IS MADNESS!

Madnes?

THIS
IS
DESTRUCITY!

39
Anonymous Tim June 5, 2009 at 6:25 pm

That was the most appropriate use of the “lemon curry” line in history.

40
MER June 5, 2009 at 9:38 pm

I just realized what was behind the Warrior when he was squatting. I think they were the hooded men that shows up. I know it’s not too clear, but those look like hooded heads to me right now.

Great commentary. :)

This will always be my favorite crossover. XD

41
Richard Warrior June 5, 2009 at 11:36 pm

Man, Warrior is a fucking asshole, seriously. It’s amazing how, as a young wrestling fan, you’re expected to look up to guys like Hulk Hogan and Warrior, only to have them revealed to be dicks later on. I know people may hate on me for saying that about Hogan, but I implore you to look at videos and interviews with him after his son hit that kid. You may change your mind.

42
Sovereign110\ June 6, 2009 at 2:51 am

Good video. Spoony’s sharp narration along with Linkara’s awesome behind-the-scenes commentary makes this a masterpiece, HOAK HOGAN

43
Kalidor June 6, 2009 at 10:44 am

i really enjoy this commentary video, but come on marzgurl IS CRAP… she always do the same stupid faces and act like that… fuck that boring bitch… HOAK HOGAN… need scissors…

44
DamuEmran June 6, 2009 at 7:21 pm

OMG this was really good commentary video. I couldn’t stop laughing

45
Toost Inc. June 7, 2009 at 3:26 pm

What’s Up HOAK HOGAN?

fanboymaster June 8, 2009 at 12:57 am

Am I just an idiot/missing something or does the video fail to load for anyone else. Adblock is turned off and other videos work, but this one always loads straight to either a non-existent ad or a replay video/related videos screen where I’m unable to play the video. It’s rather frustrating, so any help would be appreciated.

47
tWitters June 8, 2009 at 7:21 am

Release a bloopers reel!! I totally want to see that

48
Lionel June 8, 2009 at 7:51 pm

I NEED SCISSORS 61!!!!!

49
emogit June 12, 2009 at 7:20 pm

It’s not continuity that he saw doctor insano with out his glass ’cause it’s an alternate universe.

50
Kallisto June 18, 2009 at 1:07 pm

Am I the only one to think Linkara has quite a sexy voice? :-P
This comic is AWFUL. It’s trying so hard to be deep it means absolutly nothing. I love the review though, it’s mad enough to keep up with the bat-shittery of the comic.
