Alright, you guys.
I don’t know what sort of fetish Doug has with fight videos – but they all suck.
They’re awful. From the first to the (hopefully) last (LOLOLO ITS NOT THE FINAL ONE GIVE ME MORE MONEY PLZ).
And I’m not talking about the performance itself – the whole idea of “ultimate-fight video” is shit. It’s not funny.
Also, am I the only one who notices that the amount of daliy page views TGWTG has is directly related to Doug’s pretentiousness level?
I love behind-the-scenes stuff, and this is no exception. Genius! The videos coming out of this get-together (which resulted in far more than the fight video, Blandford, you ingrate) are brilliant. I’ve spied another Spoony one coming soon… One that throws Spoony in a totally different (but perhaps not unexpected) light – oh my!
It is so satisfying to see the material that Spoony talked about actually recorded on film. I had always wondered what that pillow fight was supposed to look like, but it was apparently filmed after all!

I would agree that personally, I don’t find Doug/Nostalgia Critic as entertaining as the other people I watch (Spoony, Armake21, AVGN, etc.) but he does some good fun once in awhile. I think this Brawl video and the Top 11 Animaniacs quotes were my favorite videos of his.

I must extend many thanks for your dedication to the fans, I’ve merely stalked your site until recently and I must say out of all the other internet critics/reviewers, your stuff is A, the most entertaining, B, some of the most relatable and C, most constant. Thanks again for all these updates
Usually i pass “makings of” but this was priceless. Hilarious and interesting. Also provided me with help and tips on how to extend my filmmaking work. Thanks TGWTG team and Spoony for making this happen and filming it.
Am I the only one who would like to see more footage with Lindsay Ellis (Nostalgia Chick) in the schoolgirl uniform? Anyway, nice video, much better than the crap you can watch on regular TV (with a few exceptions, of course). Greetings to anybody who likes this site as much as I do and thanks to the creator.
hmm.. well in noticed that a lot of people had really cool ideas.. but that guy with the glasses(dont know his name) didnt accept any of them.. hmmm .. i thought that was rude…but thats my opinion.. i would love to know.. what you think about the guy with the glasses… how is it like to work with himm…. for some reason it seem like it wasnt very pleasant… anyway… i wanna see every single crossover so you better put the on your web.. aight? … sweet….. see ya later!!
ROCKREA_DUDE: I don’t think he was being rude. When you have a day to work, with a bunch of people to work with, to make the best quality work in that amount of time, it’s understandable if he really can’t work in ideas others have had. It just seems that way because he’s the director, so he has to give the orders. I don’t think he wasn’t open to new ideas, I just think he’s a bit strict when it comes to deadlines and structure.
Again, that’s just what I get from seeing him direct. I could see why you think the way you do, though.
Blandford, I don’t quite get what you’re saying. Are you suggesting that the Critic is pretentious because he made a giant fight video? ‘Cause that’s basically the opposite of what is true.
Also, the reason a fight video was chosen was because it didn’t need a huge script and could be filmed in a short amount of time. He wanted a video with all of his site’s reviewers, because it’s the 1-year anniversary, and in internet terms that’s decades.
Plus, why complain about the Critic on spoony’s site?
i would love to see Linkara’s “I AM A MAN!!” and Mars Girl “ME TO!” scene in here.
